Content Creators I Follow

YouTube is where I learn most of what I know outside of books and podcasts. These are the channels that have actually taught me something or kept me entertained enough to come back.

Also check out my podcast recommendations and book recommendations for the full picture of how I consume content.

AI Tools & Workflows

Ben AI

YouTube

One of my two go-to AI content creators. Practical, hands-on demos of AI tools and workflows that you can actually replicate. No hype, just useful stuff.

Paul J Lipski

YouTube

The other half of my AI content diet. Clear explanations, solid production, and consistently ahead of the curve on new tools and techniques.

Health & Self-Improvement

After School

YouTube

Distills long books and research into just the important lessons and takeaways. Saves you hours while giving you the core insights that actually matter.

The Andrew Huberman optimal morning routine video and the 'How Feedback Affects Performance' growth mindset episode are both top tier.

Finance & Investing

The Financial Turtle

YouTube

Long-term growth strategy investing explained clearly. Where I built a lot of my foundational investing knowledge. Good for anyone who wants to understand the 'why' behind buy-and-hold.

Tech & PC Hardware

JayzTwoCents

YouTube

One of the best channels for PC builds, hardware reviews, and tech deep dives. Genuine enthusiasm, real testing, and not afraid to call out bad products.

Linus Tech Tips / The WAN Show

YouTube

The tech content empire. The WAN Show podcast is great for weekly tech news discussion. LTT for reviews and builds. A staple of the tech YouTube ecosystem.

ThrillSeeker

YouTube

This channel got me through the dark times of COVID. Went deep on the VR enthusiast hobby because of content like this: full body tracking, Valve Index setup, custom VR mods, the whole nine yards.

VR & Immersive Tech

ThrillSeeker

YouTube

This channel got me through the dark times of COVID. Went deep on the VR enthusiast hobby because of content like this: full body tracking, Valve Index setup, custom VR mods, the whole nine yards.

The VR Rabbit Hole

During COVID I went deep on VR as a hobby. Full Valve Index setup, full body tracking, custom mods, the works. It was a genuinely cool adventure and ThrillSeeker's content was a huge part of that journey.

The honest takeaway? It was a ton of fun but also a ton of work. Hard to put on, hard to play for more than 40 minutes without feeling off, and awkward to use in a shared living space. The tech is incredible but the friction is real. I still think it's the future; it's just not frictionless enough yet for daily use.

Gaming & Comedy

Viva La Dirt League (VLDL)

YouTube

If you're a nerd who plays D&D or video games and you like comedy, this is top tier. Golden nerd requirement. Their NPC sketches and Epic NPC Man series are genuinely hilarious.
