Hey, I'm Josh.
Product manager by day. Builder and tinkerer by night.
I spend my days building Salesforce workflow tools in regulated industries, and my evenings experimenting with AI tools, automating my home life, and figuring out how to share what I learn along the way.
This site is my digital home base. It's where I keep track of what I'm building, what I'm learning, and what I think is worth paying attention to in the AI space. No corporate fluff, no thought leadership branding exercise. Just a place to think out loud and show my work.
Poke around. Most of this is just me figuring things out and writing it down.
A little more about me
I'm a product manager in Wilmington, NC. Thinker, builder, big idea guy. I spend my days building Salesforce workflow tools in highly regulated industries, and I genuinely love it. Give me a room full of smart people and a whiteboard (or these days, a Miro board) and I'm in my element. My wife Bailey and I spend our free time traveling, hosting game nights, and managing our lives through an unreasonable number of spreadsheets. We share the house with a floppy coonhound and a fluffy Maine Coon who both think they run the place.
I got a taste of building AI tools working alongside some really smart people through my job in AI software, and it flipped a switch. Now I'm constantly discovering and experimenting with the newest AI tools, always curious about what's out there to help me move faster. The last few months have been wild: Claude Cowork, Gemini Gems, and a wave of tools that are changing how individuals work. This site is where I store all of that, along with a bunch of other thoughts and things I care about, before I nuke the rest of my social media and just have this.
What I'm Working On
View all →Claude Starter Kit
Three pastes for getting Claude to handle real work. Personal Preferences, a flat-folder workspace, and the Research / Plan / Implement workflow. Public on GitHub.
Personal Website
This site. Built with Astro, Tailwind CSS, and deployed on Vercel. The single source of truth for my online presence.
Social Media Demolition
Ripping my data out of every platform that ever sold my attention, archiving what matters, and torching the rest.
Latest Learnings
View all →The folder system that made AI actually useful
Most people re-explain their entire job to AI every single conversation. The fix isn't better prompts. It's better folders.
Coding is solved. Now what?
Boris Cherny (Head of Claude Code) hasn't written a line of code by hand since November. Jenny Wen says the design process is dead. The Lenny's Podcast episodes this month are hitting different.

Tools I Use
The stuff that's actually stuck. Everything else got cut.
Wispr Flow
Voice input that actually works. I do almost everything faster through voice now, and it changed how I interact with every other tool on this list.
Granola
Meeting notes on autopilot. Records, sorts, and organizes with surprisingly useful features. I don't take manual notes anymore.
Claude Cowork
The closest thing I've found to a second brain that works the way I do. Connectable, fast, and the backbone of most of what I build.
Incogni
Scrubs my personal data from broker sites automatically. I pair it with Claude for monthly manual sweeps to catch what automation misses. The family plan covers my parents and Bailey too.

The glue between tools. Piping Granola into Claude, connecting Slack, Calendar, Drive. This is where AI stops being a chatbot and starts being useful.
Google Suite
Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar. The boring backbone that holds everything together.
More coming as I find things worth recommending.
