The Exodus Report

Completed
Data Privacy AI

Reclaiming the data was step one. Step two was the fun part: what does 18 years of your own behavior say about you when it is all in one place and cross-referenced?

Why it works: no single platform can tell you this. Spotify knows when you listen. WHOOP knows how you slept. Amazon knows what you bought. None of them talk to each other, and that is not an accident. Once the data is normalized into one schema with consistent timestamps, the cross-platform questions become answerable for the first time.

A few things it told me:

- My late-night listening lines up against my worst recovery scores. Peak YouTube hour is 2am. The correlation is not subtle.
- Amazon spend went from $2,656 in 2015 to $14,159 in 2025. I did not experience that as a change in behavior.
- Average 4,643 steps a day across 1,292 days, with one glorious outlier at 82,566.
- Sleep quality by day of week: best on Monday at 83.8 percent, worst on Tuesday at 79.4. I still have no theory for that.
- Top artist of all time: deadmau5. 1,186 plays, 117.7 hours.

The uncomfortable insight: every one of these was sitting inside a platform I no longer have an account with. They knew all of it. I had to run an 18-year data recovery operation to learn things about myself that Amazon's recommendation engine has known since 2015.

Built as an HTML dashboard from the processed CSVs. Private, because it is a complete map of a decade of my life, which is exactly the point.
